Lighting the Way to Opportunity

LIT House Foundation is a youth-focused nonprofit organization committed to helping young people access opportunities that may otherwise feel out of reach.

Sometimes a student needs financial assistance. Sometimes they need a mentor. Sometimes they need a laptop, a connection, an experience, or simply someone who knows where to point them next. That's where LIT House comes in.

Our goal is not simply to give. Our goal is to connect, expose, educate, encourage, and empower. If we cannot directly provide a resource, we will work to help families identify organizations, programs, and opportunities that may be able to assist.

LIT House Foundation was created in memory of my brother, who was taken by gun violence in 2015. He was on his way to LSU to pursue a degree in engineering — full of promise, full of purpose — and he never made it.

That loss never left me. And neither did the question it planted: how many young people with that same potential never get their chance? LIT House is my answer. It exists to give someone the opportunity my brother deserved but never received.

Every scholarship we award, every mentor we match, every door we help open — that's for him. And for every young person who deserves to see what they're capable of when someone believes in them and gives them a real shot.
